WOW blog candy!!!

Check out Ila's blog she has the most fabulous creations.

At the moment she is offering a totally amazing blog candy and all you have to do is tell her your favourite christmas film or christmas song.

just for you

What a hard card this was to make!! I made the mistake of colouring the image before I thought about my papers and I feel it lacks something.
I have followed the sketch on sketch-saturday challenge blog. You may notice that I like joining the challenge blogs, for me they take me outside my comfort zone that is my head and helps me to develope or at least I think so lol.
I have used the K&co christmas papers and matting papers to create this card. I have added glitter and bling here and there. I have used one of my new hanglar images aren't they the cutest sent to me by my special angel ;0)
Stamp: Hanglar & Stanglar

baby its cold outside

What a week it has been snow, wind and rain. The snow part was really nice and I will try and post about that later.
I have made a card following the sketch on friday-sketchers blog, which is by carole this week. What a fab sketch it is too.
I have used the background stamp from magnolia and glittered it all over. I added raised details to the tree and then glittered them again.
I coloured the image with my copic pens and then I put the image through my xyron to make it sticky and glittered with glamour dust.
I used another of the new magnolia Tilda stamps and coloured her to match. The papers have a pearlescent finish which is hard to show up and the blue background paper is by K&co and has glitter on too. So it is a very glittery affair but I really like the finish.
Thank you for look and I hope you like it too x

lilac haze

I have made this card for a lovely lady that I have met through our business. It will be her 60th not that you would ever think it she looks so young.
I have followed the sketch on a-spoon-full-of-sugar challenge blog which is michelle this week. I have also used lilac which is the challenge on cute-card-thursday.The background paper is by K&co. The paper in the panels I have had for years, I glitter one panel to add abit of bling to the card. I coloured the image with my copic pens. The flowers are by prima, I hung a heart from a spacer for the centre of one flower and on the other large flower, I used a hatpin with beads I had to add another detail.
The other embellishment is a pearl button with a brad stuck in the middle.
I have double stamped the sentiment, once in metallic lilac and once in black to create a shadowing effect.

without reflection bookmark

On the whiff-of-joy challenge blog this week the challenge is anything but a card. They would like to see bookmarks but if not as long as it is not a card it will do.
I have made this bookmark. The top photo shows how it looks when in use and this photo is of the bookmark.
I have used the WOJ book stamp and cut some bo bunny papers with my nestabilities. I have coloured the image with my copic markers.
The verse I printed from the computer onto the bo bunny paper and then cut out the layers to match the oval. I 3d glazed the writing so that it stands out and adds texture.
Stamp: Whiff of Joy
Papers: Bo Bunny Unforgettable dream
Coloured with copic pens.

Rock-a-bye baby

I have made this card to join in with the high-hopes challenge blog. This week they have a sketch by Ila.
My card is based around 'first ride' dragon stamp by high hopes. Its so cute. I coloured with my copic pens. I bought these Bo bunny papers at the weekend from Kitty Krafts near Dundee, its a great shop with tons of scrapbooking and stamping stock. I have used 3 papers from the Sweetie pie smooch range to create this card.
I sanded the edge of the pink dot paper to give a white rim around it to add abit of detail. Hand stitched between the papers. I sanded the dummy so it would sit flat on the card. The sentiment is printed from my computer. I think this card is great for a new arrival but could also be used for a first birthday.
Stamp: High hope 'first ride'

Flower: Prima

Heather Santa is coming

I have been playing for a couple of days on this project. After seeing the stunning creations by Maya I was inspired to make a match box advent calender. I bought the matchboxes and then got busy with other bits. Then while surfing I can across Rachels wonderful take on the advent calender (bought of which where inspired by Bubblyfunk) I thought it was time I made mine.So here it is my creation. I have made it for my daughter Heather who will find out when she gets back from school today. The theme for the calender has been holly and red (I think I should call my blog the red blog) I love creating with this colour.
I have used Basicgrey paper and K&co holly paper that I have glittered.
I painted the match boxes a vintage gold colour and crackle glazed the front of the drawers with fired brick by Ranger. The glass beads are from a necklace I bought at a market for 50p. Its a great way of getting some nice beads for a fraction of the price.
I have coloured Tilda with snowball and adapted her to hold Heathers name, this has been created with cutting the letters and then embossing them with gives them a very metal look. I strung them with wire to make it more interesting and Tilda holds it like a banner. I have punched a circle from card and triple embossed it before using a christmas stamp from Magnolia to emboss the image to make a charm. Its great you can still read the whole rhyme. I hope you like it, more importantly I hope Heather likes it.
Stamps: Magnolia
Paper: Basicgrey and K&co
Acrylic paint and Ranger Distress crackle paint.

You light up my life

I really love this cute Tilda image and have used her to make a gift wallet for that special someone that always goes that little bit further to help out in life.
I have followed the sketch on Friday-sketchers, this is created by Beatrix. Beatrix makes some lovely cards and you should pop by her blog and check them out.
I started looking for papers and picked out the red background paper and then there where a couple of others and I couldn't choose between them so have used them all together with chocolate card.
I had some letters that I bought that where grey and I really wanted to use them for this card. I triple embossed them with moonglow embossing powders and then embossed a pattern on them to make them blend in with my card. The moonglow powder is Holly Berry and is red with a gold twist.
The flower I used was white and I coloured it with Distress Inks. The charms hanging of are freshwater pearls and I twisted the wire holding the made with love heart to make it more interesting.
The image is coloured with prisma pencils and copic pens.
Stamp: Magnolia christmas stamp.

Christmas with love

I got this Imaginisce paper at the weeking and was itching to use it. I have followed the sketch on Whiff-of-joy blog created by Heather.
You may notice it has a snowflake or 2 on the card. I am also joining the guys on Cute-card-thursday there theme this week is Snow/snowflakes.
I have used the Imaginisce paper as the inspiration for the colourway of the card. The other papers are of course K&co I bought a box of papers that cost £15.99 for 150 sheets of 12x12 and I am loving them.
I have used the Cuttlebug folders with the one across the middle I have picked out the snowflakes with my versamark pen and chalked it to colour them. With the Snowflakes folder that I used for the longer mat I used a pearl glaze to highligth some snowflakes and glittered the others.
The snowflakes are cuttlebug also. I glittered them and added jewels to give abit more bling.
The image is of course a Whiff of joy stamp, I have replaced the flowers on the trousers with snowflakes to help make it more festive.
The image is coloured with prismas and copics. I used my copics on the hair, skin and to add shading to the jeans after colouring them with my prisma pencils.

Winter wishes

Wow, after the couple of epic cards this card was a quick affair. I followed the ismaki sketch for this week by Isa. The option this week is blue and copper. I have also used flowered paper and a flower for my circle as this fits in perfectly for the Spoon-full-of-sugar challenge this week.
The flower that I used was white to start. I coloured with ranger distress ink and then stamped it with copper ink and embossed it. The image background is created with versamark stamped snowflakes and chalks. The image is created by stamping the girl and then masking her, so that when you stamp the boy he looks like he is next to her and it is one stampStamps: Hanglar and stanglar
Sentiment stamp: Whiff of Joy

My knight

I have been wanting to make this card since I made my fairycastle and never got round to it. When I saw the challenge on a-spoon-full-of-sugar for a childs card I knew it was time to get doddling and make the castle.I have created the castle on the computer, printed and then coloured it with prisma pencils and highlights with my copic pens. That took awhile until I was happy with it and this was the second one I coloured. I then stuck it to the grey card and cut around it. I embossed the towers and stuck them with pads to add dimension.
I coloured the knight and the dragon with my copic pens. The sheild that the knight is holding I drew the St Andrews cross on and 3d glazed it so it looks like it is enamaled.
Stamps: Knight sugar nellie
Dragon: I can't remember
Castle my creation
Prisma pencils and copic pens for colouring.
