How to make expanding wallet, black and white

The theme for the tilda&co challenge this week is black and white.

I have made a folder for putting stamped images in. I used "Me and my big ideas" paper on both folders which has a lovely sheen to it.

Start with half a 12x12 sheet of paper. Trim it to 25cm long. You will then need to score the paper at 6cm, 6.5cm and 7cm from one end. then turn round and score 7cm in from the other end.

With the piece that where cut of, you can use this to make the vent for the folder. Cut it into 2 pieces sizes 7cmx 3cm. Score them at 1cm, 1.5cm and 2cm length wise. Fold in a concertina.
Place double sided tape to the edges of the concertina pieces. Now all we have to do is line up the concertina pieces with single crease on the large peice and the folder or wallet is ready for decoration.

Abit of a tip: When lining up the side pieces pull a little piece of the double sided tape away and fold it down so you can see it along the outside edge. Then you can position it and pull the rest of the tape when it is in the right position. I hope you find this useful and not boring. I would love to see everyones creations if you would like to leave a link to your work.

Hi Jakki, I also love to make these wallets for christmas presents to go in...I usually get nieces and nephews panto or disney on ice tickets and the wallets are ideal for that!
