High hopes under the sea

So things are still abit hectic here and I don't know if I am coming or going most days. I have managed to piece abit of time together and managed to join the guys over at High-hopes challenge blog. They would like to see anything but a card. So that means no cards allowed. After thinging about it for awhile I have decided to decorate a candle.
This is on one side of the candle. It has an under the sea theme as I like this kind if thing in the bathroom. In total there are 5 stamps from high hopes to create this candle. The images are on tissue paper and then coloured with copic pens. You need to use strong colours to make sure that the images have strong colours once applied. You can't see it on the picture but the pearl and the inside of the shell shimmer like real shell as it has Mica powders on it.
This is the back of the candle. I wish I had placed an image near the edge of the seam as it is alittle blank.

Candle Recipe:
Stamps High hopes
Cheap vanilla candle from pound shop

thinking of you sugar nellie and papertake

I finished this one yesterday and never got a chance to take pictures of it.
I got my Gorjuss #2 stamp set and when I had seen the sneak previews I knew how I wanted to use this stamp and here it is.
I have followed the sketch from Papertake-weekly challenge blog which is idea for what I wanted to create.
I just love this sugar nellie stamp and thought it is idea for a sympathy card, especially for when a little one is taken away. I wanted to make it unfussy but give it an elegant feel and I personally love it.
The paper is by K&co which I have edged with a gold pad. The wings on the image have gold mica powder added.
Card recipe:

Stamp: Sugar Nellies Gorjuss set 2
Paper: K&co
Sentiment: Studio g
Image coloured with copic pens.

I thought I would share another stamp that I had made from Scrapmagasinet this is the on the back of the card.

High hopes for easter!!

MORE BOXES. I know even more acetate boxes. I have 2 daughters still at home and they wanted to get their friends some easter gifts and this is what I have been making the last 2 days.
These ones are alittle bit different as they are images adapted to have an easter theme. I am joining the guys over on the High-hopes challenge blog with these boxes. The challenge this week is creative borders and pretty much apart from the image it is just borders.
The borders I have used from the left are easycut craft, su scallops, fiskars and fiskars.
I must admit that I have a favourite it was a toss up between the monkey and the baby dragon.
The baby dragon won it is the cutest stamp ever I love it.
Materials used:
Acetate
Scraps of papers
High hope stamps various
Egg by studio g
All are coloured with copic pens.

Citrus fresh

I am still going with the easter boxes. I have made this one to join the guys over on Cute-card-thursday and the theme is citrus colours. I have gone for green as Limes have to be my favourite citrus fruits.

I have made an easter acetate box for Heather to take to school for her friend. If you would like to have a go Susie McCormick has put a great tutorial on Split-coast-stampers that you can follow.

The image is one from High hopes that I have adapted to make it suitable for easter by just adding an easter egg. I would have loved to use one of the new high hopes easter stamps but they where to big.

It is hard to see but I used a vine rollagraph and mica powders from Imagination-crafts I will post alittle bit more about these tomorrow.

Materials used:

Acetate

Stamps: High hopes

Coloured with copic pens

Sweet as Sugar!!

Over on Sugar-bowl-challenge the theme this week is to make something for spring or Easter. I have dedecided to make some Easter gifts for the girls to give their friends.

Over on Split-coast-stampers I found a great tutorial from Susie McCormick. For these little gift boxes. I thought I would dig deep into my stamp folders and pull out some of the older sugar nellies and adapt them for easter. They all have an easter egg either behind them or in their hands. I couldn't resist palying alittle bit more with the present and made an egg come out of the box when you pull the lid.

Thank you for dropping by I love to read your comments

Materials used:

Stamps: All Sugar nellies.

Papers various scraps.

Starting from left boxes 1,4 and 5 images coloured with copics.

2,3 images are coloured with inkadinks from imagination crafts
