monster birthday

As soon as I saw these Sugar Nellie stamps I knew exactly what they would be good for. The obvious choice is Halloween but they are great for birthdays too.
I have made this card for the A-spoonful-full-of-sugar blog challenge. The theme is checks and I have gone all out for them.

Getting dottie

The challenge on Tilda&Co is dots.
This is a quick one from me. My personal life has taken a life of its own and I was struggling for time. So thanks to some lovely papers from basic grey I managed to make a reasonable card. Coloured with copics pens.

serendipity

The challenge this week on Tilda&co is called Serendipity. At is like a technique called paper mosaic. The idea is to use small pieces of paper to create an original piece of paper to use for your creations. It is a great way of using up small pieces of scraps. Give the bits to the kids and ask them to create some paper for you to use. So here is my creation. Coloured with copics pens.

The colour of the ribbon looks alittle off in the picture but it is spot on colour wise.

Love using beads for the centre of the flowers

Cute cat

This week I was lucky enough to be choosen as the guest designer on ismaki. Thank you to all involved.
The layout this week on ismaki was so much fun. The option this week was to use just 2-3 colours. As fathers day is around the corner thought I would try and inspire others.

Magnolia and swirls

This week on Tilda&Co challenge the theme is swirls.
I have altered a notebook for this as I had a stamp with a verse that I thought would be great for this. The verse is from aud stamps, swirls autumn grey and the tilda with pencil of course is magnolia.
I used versa mark to stamp the swirls. Tilda is coloured with copics and applied to the notebook (woolies 99p). Then I covered the front page with book cover to protect everything.

My sunshine

On the Tilda&friends atc this week the theme is sunshine.
I have used one of my magnolia stamps to look like my husband. He calls the magnolias tatty boggles as thats what they remind him of. So here he is his very own tatty boggle.

Atc Swap

Now that everyone has received their ATCs it means that I can share them.
A couple of week s ago I made some ATCs for a swap on UK scrappers. I thought it would be nice if it was a surprise as to what the ATCs look like.
Hope everyone that received one liked it. Would love to know who got what.

I've been tagged

I've been tagged by a special friend Maya. You should check out her blog her creations are beautiful.
The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1) Ten years ago:

  • It was a big year for my family and me. We bought our first house. Always a fond memory.
2) 5 things in todays ”to do”-list:-
  • Get all the invoicing done for my husbands business.
  • Move a shelf that has been bugging me for ages.
  • Try and clean up alot
  • Study for an upcoming important interview.
  • Keep trying to make the washing pile disappear.(What I wish was on the list is cardmaking, scrapbooking and catching up with some sleep)

3) Snacks I enjoy: Carrots and sour cream.

4) Things I would do if I was a millionaire:Share some of it. Visit all the monuments in Egypt it fasinates me. Buy an estate in the higland so we can fly & hunt golden eagles as a family and tour europe & america on a motorbike

5) Places I have lived: I was born in Germany-Rinteln. I lived in Malta- Sliema as my mum is Maltese. Cyprus-Nicosia as my dad was in the army. England-Leicester & Hinckley. Scotland Leven & home for now St Andrews.

So that was a little about me,and here are the ones i want to tag :)

Marlene

Everyone that I would have tagged has been tagged.

Anything but a card.

The theme on Tilda&co challenge is not a card.
I have made a candle for this with the four seasons.
I used a tutorial on splitcoasters. Have a go its not hard but you need to use wax paper to seal the image in. I got mine from lakeland.
