For someone inspirational

  • I have been abit of a bad blogger at the moment. I have been so busy I can't wait to catch up on some sleep.
  • Thought I would share this card that I have made using the ismaki template.
  • I have used copics to colour the face and prismas to colour the clothing. I used Cuttlebug embossing envelopes to texture the papers.

This weeks theme on Tilda&co challenge is torn.
I made a wedding themed card for this. I used torn paper for the backing papers. I wanted to keep it simply and elegant.

Here is a card I have made to go in with some stamped images. Used a hanglar and stanglar stamp, coloured with copics and used prisma flowers with beads for the centre as I think they work well.

Green Atc tilda

The theme this week on tildaandfriends ATC is green.
I have used Day dreaming Tilda coloured with copics pens which are definately growing on me. They are great for more vibrant papers as the image is bold also.

The theme on Tilda&Co challenge this week is beads.

Thought I would try out the copics pens and still getting used to them at the moment but they are growing on me.

How to make expanding wallet, black and white

The theme for the tilda&co challenge this week is black and white.

I have made a folder for putting stamped images in. I used "Me and my big ideas" paper on both folders which has a lovely sheen to it.

Start with half a 12x12 sheet of paper. Trim it to 25cm long. You will then need to score the paper at 6cm, 6.5cm and 7cm from one end. then turn round and score 7cm in from the other end.

With the piece that where cut of, you can use this to make the vent for the folder. Cut it into 2 pieces sizes 7cmx 3cm. Score them at 1cm, 1.5cm and 2cm length wise. Fold in a concertina.
Place double sided tape to the edges of the concertina pieces. Now all we have to do is line up the concertina pieces with single crease on the large peice and the folder or wallet is ready for decoration.

Abit of a tip: When lining up the side pieces pull a little piece of the double sided tape away and fold it down so you can see it along the outside edge. Then you can position it and pull the rest of the tape when it is in the right position. I hope you find this useful and not boring. I would love to see everyones creations if you would like to leave a link to your work.

Kayleigh and Bob

My youngest Kayleigh(10yrs old) has had an obsession with snails since I don't know when. Couple of weeks ago my Dh went and bought K an African land snail so that she wouldn't keep trying to keep every snail she comes across as a pet. (25 at last count).
When I saw the theme for the Tilda&friends atc I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
This is for K and bob(thats the snails name)

Cutie Tilda

This tilda from the spring 08 is so cute. I have used the template from the ismaki challenge. Hope you like it, it took awhile to create but its warming on me. It looks abit washed out, due to lighting.

Garden theme Tilda

The Cute-card-thursday theme for this week is In the garden. I have used a range of the new shabby chic tilda sping 08 stamps and one from the Goblin collection.
I have made a double slide card and used the masking technique to put the fench onto the bakground.

I have used Diamond glaze to highlights bits of the grass and flowers.

The writing has a highlight of pearl with Sakura pen.

sugar nellie princess

Something out of the norm for me. (In 2 minds wether to start another blog for all my other stamps companies.) Anyway this one is from Funky Kits and its maggie the princess isn't she sweet.

As much as it would have been much quicker and easier to make a pink card I thought I would do a mainly blue card for a little princess (cinderella in mind).
