A gift from the heart, thank you
I received this gift for christmas and haven't had time to post about it with one thing or another.
I was in awe when I received this in the post it is faultless and I want to share it with you. I have the great honour of having Maya as a friend and she sent me the most amazing piece of work packed with goodies for christmas.
The attention to detail on all of Maya's work is totally inspiring. I loved her work the first time I saw it and since then we have become good friends and I look forward to the day we finally meet.
If you haven't taken a look at her blog, you should pull up a chair and a nice cuppa and take a look as it is full of great work from a very talented lady.
Thank you Maya, I love it x x xFriday, 26 December 2008
I'll be back
Firstly Merry Christmas to everybody, I hope you have all had a great festive period.
I haven't been a very good blogger lately. Family and problems have taken over events. I am in the process of rearranging the whole house and hopefully will start back in the new year if not hopefully a little sooner. I have some exciting news that I will be writing about too.
So I hope you are all well and look forward to the new year x x x

Ho! Ho! Ho! Kayleigh
If you follow my blog you will know that I have already made an advent chest for Heather. With me having 2 girls still at home it is only fair that I make one for my youngest. With time ticking by quicker then ever I pulled a ghoster last night to make sure that this was ready for this morning.
Kayleigh requested a purple theme and choose this lovely snowflake papers.
The challenge on the high-hopes blog this week is metal madness.
The Oh so cute Santa on the top of the box is from High hope stamps, coloured with copic pens and glittered up a bit. Kayleigh's name is made from craft metal, I used a die to cut the letters and then embossed them to give them a bit of dimension. The snowflake brad in the corner is also metal, it was purple all over but I sanded the top away and then glittered it. You can never have to much bling.

I used acrylic paints to paint the match boxes and crackle the front of the draws.
I am pleased to say that 2hrs sleep this morning she was really excited at the sight of her advent box, thanks for stopping by and taking a look x
