Fairy birthday

After being away I have finally found some time to have a quick play before I go away again on Saturday. I am hoping to tap into some WIFI while I am away.
I have made a card and joined the guys over on The-sugar-bowl-challenge, the sketch is a great one to follow from Judy.
I have used one of the new Gorjuss girls for this card. I knew what I wanted to do with stamp as soon as seen it. I have used the magic film to make the dress to add real glitz. The image is coloured with copic pens.
Materials used
Sugar nellie stamp
Papers various of cuts
Stamping fibre.

Hope you like the card and thank you for stopping by.
I love reading your comments and visting your blogs

I'm still alive

Just a very quick post to say that I am still about.

I am just really busy with real life at the moment and I am away for 1wk from tomorrow. I am hoping to get some projects made when I ge back before I am away for another week.

I hope to catch up with the blog hopping too when I get back as there is no internet as I am camping, so there is no electrics either. Its going to be an exhausting week.

Hope you are enjoying the summer season and getting some crafting done. I hope to catch up with everyone when I get back.

Sugar Nellie Duda Daze Blog hop!!!

What can I say, it is finally here. YAY, hopefully you have arrived from Created-by-annelies, if not why not start the blog hop from the start and visit Sugar-nellie-blog.
Welcome to my part of the blog hop and hope you enjoy your visit. The release of the Duda Daze rubber stamps exclusive to Sugar Nellie stamps available from Funky-kits. The artist of these new stamps is the very talented Diane Daze she has a unique style that is whimsical and brilliant.
The stamp that I received is called BELIEVE, it is the cutest stamp and was ideal for me. It has been a joy to work with. It is very versatile and you get 2 stamps for the price of 1. The cat can be used with the main stamp or used separately in its own right.
So to start I have made a square card, a favourite I think for all card makers. I masked of the image and stamped a script background with versamark and used chalk to highlight the script. All my images are coloured with copic pens.
I love stamps and just how much you can do with them. I have used the fairy to decorate a gift bag that I made. I used a rollagraph to decorate some Bazzill card and then cut out the fairy and placed a label behind her. I have used a fiskar punch to decorate the edge.
Another card but this time it is the an A6 card that opens by undoing the bow. I love this style as it is easy but very striking. I masked the spots out on her top and her leggings. I placed the heart from the cat on her t-shirt.
The cat is on its own for this project.
It is a card box. I got the idea from Maya. She has been making these boxes for awhile and I thought this would be great time to try one out.
The draw opens so that you can fit a gift or a stash of sweets in it. The image is 3d glazed and then I have flicked mica powders over it to add some detail.

For my final creation I have made a note book. Well I cheated a little, as Tesco had the note book for £1. I removed the covers and made my own from cardboard. Ideal for anyone that is studying for their future. I came up with the script to go with the stamp. The little silver charm pebble says believe on it.I hope you have enjoyed looking at what I have made for the blog hop and have found some inspiration. For your next sugar fix please visit

Chasing butterfly and dreams

Finally managed to get some time to be creative. Its busy, busy which always stops the creative flow. I am busy all weekend so need to get some creations made to save my sanity. Its my mothers birthday very soon and I have created this specially for her as she loves all things butterfly and this is all butterfly.
Over on just-magnolia they would like to see a card that is not square shaped. I choose to make a butterfly shaped card to fit with my theme.
The paper on the front is basic grey. Tilda and butterlies are from the spring set. I made the sentiment on my computer and cut it out in the shape of a butterfly. The paper on the inside I created using my computer so that it matched. I glued some gems to add some bling.
Card recipe
Stamps: magnolia
Papers: Basic grey
Flowers: Prima

Stay safe. A curious card

Its The case of the curious card. Over on The greeting farm blog they have a card for you to case. The card is by Anna Maria and it is such a cutie. This is my card. As soon as I saw this Hero Ian I knew what kind of card I wanted to make. When loved ones are posted into war zones, there aren't many suitable cards and this is what I wanted to create.I wanted to make a card that lets them know that we are proud of them and what they are doing. A card that would make them smile and I think this one says it all.
I have used some Basic grey papers. I printed RAF Insignia from the Internet and 3d glazed it to keep the colour. The camo paper in the background I have coloured by hand as I couldn't buy any. I them added some ribbons in the colours of the RAF so that it all ties together.
Card recipe
Stamp: Hero Ian
Papers: Basic grey
Insignia printed and 3d glazed
Image coloured with Copic pens.

I hope you like the card and hope that everyones loved ones make it back safe x

Heather's room

Well as you can guess its another door hanger. This one is for Heather and goes with her room. I enjoyed making the one for Kayleigh so much I thought it only fair to make one for Heather also. Gayle at Sugar-bowl-extra has come up with this for the monthly challenge.
The paper I used was left over from a christmas stash of papers. Another Martha Stewart punch for the detail at the bottom, with ribbon and slider. Heather did have the choice to have it different but she wanted the same as K but the same colour as her room.

For this door hanger I have used the inkadinks inks from Imagination-crafts to colour it in, they are exclusive to them as far as I know. I have to admit that I have used a lamp black for the hair from my water colour blocks.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you like what you see. If you have time please leave me a comment and then I can visit your blog.

Kayleigh's room

I thought I would join the ladies over at the Sugar-bowl-extra monthly project. The project this month is to create a door hanger. I have used the gorguss girls to create a reversible door hanger,
I used some chipboard and covered it with paper ( I can't remember whose papers they are). I used the circle scribe to cut the circle in the board. The border is created using a Martha stewart punch. I have added ribbin and a ribbon slider to add some detail.

Both images are from Sugar Nellie from the Gorjuss girls range.
I have coloured the images with my copic pens.
The letters are cut with my zipemate and I have glittered them.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you leave a comment so that I can visit your blog.
Hope you have a great weekend Jakki x

High hopes under the sea

So things are still abit hectic here and I don't know if I am coming or going most days. I have managed to piece abit of time together and managed to join the guys over at High-hopes challenge blog. They would like to see anything but a card. So that means no cards allowed. After thinging about it for awhile I have decided to decorate a candle.
This is on one side of the candle. It has an under the sea theme as I like this kind if thing in the bathroom. In total there are 5 stamps from high hopes to create this candle. The images are on tissue paper and then coloured with copic pens. You need to use strong colours to make sure that the images have strong colours once applied. You can't see it on the picture but the pearl and the inside of the shell shimmer like real shell as it has Mica powders on it.
This is the back of the candle. I wish I had placed an image near the edge of the seam as it is alittle blank.

Candle Recipe:
Stamps High hopes
Cheap vanilla candle from pound shop

thinking of you sugar nellie and papertake

I finished this one yesterday and never got a chance to take pictures of it.
I got my Gorjuss #2 stamp set and when I had seen the sneak previews I knew how I wanted to use this stamp and here it is.
I have followed the sketch from Papertake-weekly challenge blog which is idea for what I wanted to create.
I just love this sugar nellie stamp and thought it is idea for a sympathy card, especially for when a little one is taken away. I wanted to make it unfussy but give it an elegant feel and I personally love it.
The paper is by K&co which I have edged with a gold pad. The wings on the image have gold mica powder added.
Card recipe:

Stamp: Sugar Nellies Gorjuss set 2
Paper: K&co
Sentiment: Studio g
Image coloured with copic pens.

I thought I would share another stamp that I had made from Scrapmagasinet this is the on the back of the card.
