Gorjuss mother's day

After having abit of fun with the rollagraph I thought I would use a different one to make a simple card for mother's day. You really don't need to do much with these Gorjuss stamps. I used my versamark pad with the rollagraph and then added some mica powders to make the backing card, these are exclusive to imagination crafts the roll I have used is flowers and hearts. The edge is from fiskars and just adds some detail. I wanted to make a quick effective card.
Added a ribbon and a charm. I really love these cards even though they are simple, they look very effective.
Materials used:

Stamps: Sugar nellie Gorjuss girl

Imagination crafts Hearts and flowers rollagraph

Mica powders

Sentiment printed of the computer.
Coloured with copic pens

A gift horse just for you!!

Something a little bit different for you today. I was blog hopping as you do and visited Marlene's blog, she was taking part in the Double-dutch challenge which is to use a loo roll in your work.
I already wanted to make something with this great image of a horse from High hopes which I added a present to and came up with the saying.
I have used plain card which I used my rollagraph and versamark ink from imagination-crafts to create my own designer paper as the challenge on High-hopes blog is to use no designer paper but to make your own.I have made a matching card that has money inside to make it into a gift.

Materials used.
  • Stamps: High hopes Party horse
  • Imagination Crafts: Rollagraph
  • Studio G : Present
  • Coloured with copic pens.

Thank you for stopping by
and taking a look.

Congratulations

What a weekend. I finally managed to get some time to post my cards. I have made these cards to celebrate the first anniversary of the Cute-card-thursday. They have a lovely sketch to follow created by Katharina.
Over on a-spoonful-of-sugar they would like to see gems on your card. I am probably guilty of that on most of my cards I think lol. So I am joining them with this first card as the second has faux pearls.
On this first card I have gone for a pink and black theme which is just so now, at the moment. Simple layering of papers which I got from the SECC. The Gorjuss girl is coloured with the inkadinks from imagination-crafts. These stamps are so nice to work with, they always look great can't wait for the second set.
For this second card I have used a couple of magnolia stamps. As soon as I had seen these stamps I wanted them. They can cover so many special occassions in life. I have used them for an anniversary card. Maybe a pearl anniversary with all the faux pearls on.
I have created the tag by using a plan brown tag and a couple of the smaller rollagraphs and mica powders from imagination-crafts. I can't get enough of these and wish I could afford them all as they have some stunning designs. I used a different roller to give the detail to the circle alsoThis time the couple are coloured with my copic pens. The papers are from K&co . I just love the earthy tones, another hit with the DH.

  • Thank you for stopping by.
  • I love reading the lovely comments that you leave and visiting your blogs.
  • I have been struggling lately with my internet as it takes forever for the pages to come up. Rather than blog hopping its more like blog crawling with a hangover on the Monday after a big weekend, lol.

Whiff of joy meets sugar nellie

My mojo seems to be on holiday this week and I had abit of a struggle on my hands today getting this card to gel. I say this card but it is really these cards as there are 3 cards that are the same.......or are they.
I am joining in with the Whiff-of-joy challenge blog, Heather has made a lovely sketch for us all to follow. I used the stump from the WOJ spring kit and teamed it up with my sugar nellie stamp. I made some of the backing papers using the rollagraphs I got from imaginations-crafts and highlighted them with the mica powders that are exclusive to them. I also coloured the flowers with the mica powders.

Okay if you are still with me at this point on to the fact that these cards all look the same but are not. I have used different mediums to colour the images with the first closeup shows the image coloured with my inkadink inks that are from imagination-crafts and they did say they where new. I don't think they are on the web site yet. The second image is coloured with my prisma pencils which I haven't used for so long and thought it would be nice to dust them off. The last image is coloured with my copic pens which are fast to colour with. Would love to know which is your favourite its just interesting to see the difference in the finish with the different mediums.
Materials used:
Stamps: Whiff of joy Stump
Sugar Nellie A good book
Imagination crafts: Rollagraph and mica powders
Coloured with inkadinks, prismas and copic
Papers: Basic gray

Hey chick!!

Wow, I don't know where the time goes. Well a little bit of an exaggeration there as things are still a bit hectic with us and as ever its the down time that suffers, anyway I have managed to get around to playing with somethings that I got at the SECC Hobbycraft show in Glasgow.
I have coloured this image with some inks from imagination-crafts. They are similar to the distress inks but can be used the same as the Alcohol inks also. They have 12 colours and they are all inter blendable to make lots of colours. I have coloured the small flowers with the inks also.
The other thing is that they have neat mica powders that you can add to your inks while in the bottle, paint with them on their own or dust over projects like I have here. I stamped the swirls with black ink and then highlighted areas with my versamark pen and then dusted with the mica powders to make them more of an antique gold.
I am joining in with the guys on friday-sketchers Mumur has made a wonderful sketch for us to follow.
The beads on the flower are real fresh water pearls and they add abit of bling to the card. I have 3d glazed the sentiment to make it stand out abit more, apperantly a trade mark of mine as some of my friends have said.

Materials used:

Stamp from Sarah Kay.

Stamped swirls Autumn leaves.

Papers are from K&co and some of my personal favourites.

Flowers by Prima coloured with imagination inks.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and take a look x x x

Gorjuss girls

What can I say. I thought these stamps where going to be good but they are awesome. They are lovely to colour and are easy to work with.
At the moment things have been hectic and I have been helping my DH with some painting as the painters let us down on a job. So I have not been as productive as I would love to be. My DH did make me feel all warm and fuzzy this morning because he actually really likes the card I have made above. I think this is the first card ever that I have made that he likes. So that has left me on a high today.
I have played along with the ismaki challenge blog and Kianel has made a great sketch to follow.
All the papers I have used are from K&co I just love the distressed feel to these papers. I have added some bling with Moon glow spritzers as I am going to dust of some things that have been hiding in drawers here and there. The images are coloured with distressed inks on water colour paper made from Bamboo and old rags its amazing what you can get now a days.
Materials used:
Sugar nellie Gorjuss stamps
Papers by K&co
Coloured with Distress inks
Prima flowers
Embellishments are hoarded over the years
